Our Aims

We aim to:

  • Encourage open, educational and creative dialogue about the built environment through programmes, research and resources, resulting in a more informed, intelligent debate across society
  • Influence the quality and experience of the city through offering advisory services and design-awareness training for those involved in decision-making around design, especially local councillors
  • Enable non-professionals – whether individuals, groups or communities - to understand new proposals and policies & critique them constructively, giving them the tools and language to support the case for good design
