Russell Curtis
Russell is a founding director of RCKa, a London-based architectural practice that specialises in innovative residential, community and commercial projects. The practice has twice been a finalist for Young Architect of the Year, and in 2014 was the recipient of an RIBA National Award for its TNG Youth & Community Centre in Lewisham. RCKa was winner of the inaugural RIBA London Emerging Practice of the Year in 2015 and has won three Housing Design Awards, in 2011, 2018 and 2019.
Russell is a founding member of Project Compass CIC, a not-for-profit research organisation that campaigns for better procurement of public buildings, a trustee of the Architecture Foundation, a member of the LLDC Quality Review Panel, Croydon’s Place Review Panel, Newham’s Design Review Panel, chair of the London Review Panel, a Mayor’s Design Advocate and founder of the London Practice Forum.
