Toby Spaven (they/them)

A builder, Toby trained as a carpenter and moved into also working in lime plastering and stone masonry after specialising in the renovation of heritage properties and extensions. 

Based in West Wales they have been working in the trades for 15 years. Toby is passionate about rooting out the causes of damp in buildings and can get very excited about removing cement and gypsum from stone walls. 

Toby initially worked with self builders and offers training on basic carpentry skills. They also facilitate workshops for construction apprentices on building site culture, team dynamics and how our businesses can be a model for social transformation.
