The Cultural View

Open House has teamed up with Art Fund to explore sociality – doing things together – by visiting museums and galleries, all while getting to know each other better in an inspiring setting

Think of gazing up at Hope, the blue whale in the Natural History Museum, puzzling over Salvador Dalí’s Lobster Telephone together at Tate Modern, or taking in the opulence of the Arab Hall at Leighton House. Some things are better when you’re bouncing off someone else. Art Fund’s new podcast, Meet Me at the Museum, is all about these shared experiences. Listen to well-known guests as they take someone they love to a favourite museum or gallery and enjoy their musings on life stirred up by some of the UK’s best-loved cultural venues.

If you want to get more out of art, and maybe take a loved one too, the National Art Pass gives you free access to over 240 museums, galleries and historic houses across the UK, as well as 50% off entry to major exhibitions – all for just £70 a year. You’ll also be helping Art Fund to raise vital funds for museums and galleries so that they can buy and share more art with everyone.

Discover new museums, galleries and historic places all year round with a National Art Pass.
