The Baylight Fellowship - Part 4: south London

An experiential learning programme providing this generation’s most ambitious commissioners of new housing with the insight, knowledge and inspiration required to deliver outstanding homes and unlock sustainable future value.

Escape the office on Friday 21 April with a day-long visit to extraordinary residential landmarks in South London.

The fourth part of the Baylight Fellowship from the Academy of British Housing will include:

  • Tour of BedZED, Wallington designed by the acclaimed architect Bill Dunster and completed in 2002

  • Resident-led tour of pioneering self-build community Walters Way, Lewisham focussing on the long-term maintenance of shared public spaces

  • Interior tours of St Bernards, Croydon, built in 1969-70 as the only UK project by the renowned Swiss architects Atelier 5

  • Tickets £85/£65

Walters Way, Lewisham

The multi-part course offers an opportunity to join ambitious like-minded professionals for an experiential journey exploring time-honoured elements of successful housing – building long-term collaboration between Baylight Fellows drawn from across the public and private sectors.

Open to everyone with an interest in commissioning ambitious new housing, Part 4 is the latest instalment of the Baylight Fellowship following the success of Part 1, 2 and 3 which explored extraordinary housing in Cambridge, South East England and London.

Prices for the day include travel between sites and catering and are £85 for private sector with a £65 concession for those working in the public sector.
