
Open House Films
Tonight at 6.15pm on this page we will broadcast a live premiere of some of the new Open House films including a discussion with the Open House curatorial team behind them.
This year many buildings found themselves unable to open their doors to the public as in previous years. We decided that it was the perfect opportunity to bring them to more people than ever by creating short film tours presented by the experts that live and work in them.
Since July Open House shooting these short films in a spectacular range of locations including manor houses, embassies, public lidos and tower blocks, recreating the intimate behind the scenes experiences and anecdotes that make Open House building visits so memorable.

The 7 storey building is the architect's own development comprising one or two flats per floor, a double height architect's studio at basement and ground and the architect's home on the top floor.

Following a resurgence of council housing in the new millennium, Enfield Council contracted Peter Barber Architects to design a row of three storey town houses that face Ordnance Road and a mews of one storey houses, Sparkbrook Way. The project was completed in 2019.

Although the RAF finally left Biggin Hill in 1992, the Ministry of Defence still maintains this small, brick-built chapel as a marvellously evocative example of a type of building once common on airfields up and down the country. It features 12 stained glass windows designed by Hugh Easton.

The Crystal Palace Dinosaurs are a series of sculptures of dinosaurs and other extinct animals created in the 1850s as some of the first attempts to interpret paleontological discoveries as full-scale, full-bodied, living animals. They are incorrect by modern standards.

Crystal Palace Park skatepark consists of an extended 100 metre long and 11 m wide curved concrete band, filled with a wide range of rideable terrains. Crystal Palace is a historic home of skateboarding, being the location of the first major UK national skateboarding competition in 1977.

An inter-war residential development representing the 'glamorous aspirations' of the period (Pevsner). Five blocks of flats in Dutch-Colonial-Baroque style, and clubhouse with swimming pool.

Glenkerry House is a 14-storey tower block designed by Hungarian architect Ernő Goldfinger. The block is managed by its residents, who collectively form the Glenkerry Co-operative Housing Association.

Dating to the 17th century, this chalk and flint house includes extensions from 1896 and 1903 when the property was owned by John Pattinson Kirk.

Built in the Georgian style, the Guildhall brought together Kingston's administrative functions. Purpose-built Magistrates Courts were included in the building, part of which are now home to Kingston History Centre.

The Library House is a crafted, low energy house adjacent to Edwin Cooper’s Grade II listed Clapton Library in Hackney, London. While respecting its neighbours, The Library House is a contemporary building that also sets up a dialogue with them, allowing past and present to interact.

The former home of artist, designer and craftsman Frank R. Dickinson, the furnishing of Little Holland House was inspired by the ideals of John Ruskin and William Morris and is decorated in Arts & Crafts style.

First mentioned in 1796, Millfield House has been many things over the years, including a school for London workhouse children. It has been an arts centre since 1979.

The Moore Brook was a 'lost river', which was rediscovered during a local flood risk investigation. It flows from Firs Farm Wetlands to Pymmes Park Wetlands where it meets the Pymmes Brook.
