Charter for Open and Equitable Urban Tours

Open City and Modernist Estates have, together, created a charter of open and equitable urban tours laying out the principles and values the two organisations use to create engaging and inclusive tours.

The charter, which affirms the right of the general public to explore the urban landscape by using public rights of way to move through and discuss the city, outlines the importance of urban walks and tours now and throughout the history of British literary culture.

Citizens, organisations and tour groups dedicated to creating engaging tours are invited to sign the charter in the hope of making London and other towns and cities more open, accessible and equitable.
