Open House Festival 2024
Thank you for another fantastic Festival! 2024’s Open House Festival took place over nine days with a record 275,494 visitors - our most ever!
We had 848 openings including public realm spaces, government buildings, art studios, community centres, private homes and events such as talks and walking tours.
Over 100 generous residents opened up and shared their home - inviting people into their abode, sharing their warmth and hospitality.
Thank you to all the visitors who joined us, our volunteers, partners, London Boroughs, venues and community spaces, tour guides, photographers, press and the team for making it our most memorable year yet.
See you in 2025!

PRESS COVERAGE
Check out where Open House made news. From Monocle radio to BBC London, Wallpaper Magazine to the Evening Standard, Londonist to South London Press; our venues, curators and events were shared all over the capital.
GUEST CURATORS
Each year we co-curate a series of collections with individuals spanning Borough representatives, built environment commentators, educators, and creatives that spotlight a selection of buildings, spaces and events that tie into a theme of their choosing. For 2024 the guest curators were Chris Laing, founder of Deaf Architecture Front, Riya Patel, London-based writer and curator, Rayan Elnayal and Heba Tabidi, co-founders of Space Black, and Oliver Wainwright, architecture and design critic of the Guardian.
CITY CURATORS
Our City Curators programme brings together 20 young people who work and learn as festival curators, deciding on themes and areas of London they’re interested in and want to celebrate, with the aim of of amplifying the voice of young people within the Open House Festival.
EARLY CAREER PHOTOGRAPHERS
This year Arts Council England supported a collaboration to provide the Photography Foundation’s amazing alumni with development and paid commissions to photograph the Festival.
