Open City is thrilled to welcome a new member of its board of trustees, Elle Dodd. Elle is an economist and policymaker who joins Open City in the role of treasurer.

Open City’s trustees work closely with the charity’s staff and volunteers offering strategic support and advice throughout the year, supporting fundraising, programming and helping ensure that Open City is sustainable in its operations and pioneering in its mission.

Elle works to help public organisations tackle complex problems and improve outcomes for communities. She is an economist by training and has worked in local, national and international policymaking, including negotiating the UN Sustainable Development Goals and leading policy for Liverpool City Region Combined Authority. She is excited to support Open City’s transformation and help increase public engagement with, and appreciation of, our shared built environment.

Phineas Harper, director of Open City said, “I am thrilled that Elle is joining Open City as our new treasurer. This is a challenging time for the charity as it is for many organisations in the third sector but I believe we have accomplished some extraordinary things over the last six months despite the pandemic and I am looking forward to collaborating with Elle on bold new projects.”
