Following culture recovery funding, Open City is looking for an enthusiastic Partnership Coordinator to join our small dynamic team as we enter an exciting new period of development. The successful candidate will work with Head of Development and across the team to support Open City corporate partnerships, sponsorships, and public appeals.

We engage all citizens, particularly from under-represented backgrounds, to learn about urban design and city landscape, and have a meaningful role in shaping its future. From our flagship Open House Festival and its international network, Open House Worldwide, connecting 46 cities around the world, to pioneering learning programmes for schools, families and young people, we open up buildings, places and careers paths to those who are normally locked out of them.
Job Description
As Open City’s Partnership Coordinator, you will work with colleagues across the team on stakeholder engagement and stewardship of our current partners and on developing new prospects across design, architecture, and the wider built environment. You will work closely with the Head of Development on prospect research and proposal development for potential new private and public sector partnerships including consumer-facing and sustainability sectors as we look to extend our reach. As part of our public programmes and appeals, you will also work on supporting partnership events as part of Open City’s Reopening London campaign.
We are offering this contract as a three month position initially but if the role is viable after three months, Open City is fully committed to extending the position to a permanent contract.
Our ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, must have exceptional standards of supporter care, interpersonal skills and strong attention to detail, along with the ability to be proactive, spot new opportunities and innovate. This role is ideal for someone with experience of charity fundraising looking for the next challenge in corporate fundraising or someone from the commercial sector looking to use transferable skills in the charity sector. Som knowledge of the architecture industry and built environment sector in London would be helpful to this role.
Key roles and responsibilities
Stakeholder management, including research, cultivation and stewardship of new and existing corporate supporters
Coordination of sponsorship and corporate partnership database
Development of partnership presentations and sponsorship proposals
Coordination of cultivation events and stewardship plans for corporate audiences
Support and collaborate with the Open City team across various programmes and events where necessary, proposing ideas, and contributing to the development of the charity’s operations
Coordinate and manage budgets as well as manage invoicing
Take an active role in improving Open City on behalf of the staff who work there and the audience it serves
Person specification
At least one year experience of working in corporate fundraising, development or account management role
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to form good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Experience of charity fundraising and knowledge of UK corporate sector
Experience of stakeholder management
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Ability to work effectively as a member of a small team and with a collaborative approach to achieving organisational goals
Highly responsible with the ability to work with absolute discretion, tact and confidentiality.
Excellent IT and database management skills
An entrepreneurial and flexible approach with a positive attitude to change
Enthusiasm for architecture, design and the arts
Interest in the work and projects run by Open City
Desirable
Proficient in using IT, particularly Adobe inDesign
Events management (virtual and in person)

Salary: £28,000 pro rata, 3-months part-time contract with possibility of extension. We think the position could be a four day role, but are open to other proposals.
