The Principal Place Residential project opened their doors on Tuesday 15th May to guests from the construction industry. The Green Sky Thinking breakfast event was hosted by Multiplex Construction Europe, alongside Foster + Partners and MOLA (Museum of London Archaeology).

Attended by architects, consultants, contractors, and developers, the event showcased how the end-users, and the environment, have been considered throughout the design and construction phases of the development.

Pavan Juttla represented Multiplex and presented the initiatives they have used to engage the project's supply chain and drive resource efficiency during construction. The project's architect, Foster + Partners, then described how the design optimises the residents’ experience. The final presentation was given by MOLA, who spoke about the fascinating artefacts uncovered on-site during excavation. The morning was concluded with an on-site tour of one of the apartments in Principal Tower that demonstrated how the initiatives work in practice.

“The knowledge and wisdom that was given at the event was remarkably pleasing. The issues discussed were very important and there seems to be excellent things in place to tackle some of the sustainability issues regarding the building.”
