Open City Education Programmes kick off autumn term with a bang

Hello people,

It's been an exciting week already for the education team at Open City. Accelerate, our programme for 16-18 year olds interested in the built environment sector got off to a kick start this weekend. Our newest programme for 12-16 year olds, Accelerate Studios began yesterday, which sees our Alumni Educators delivering inspiring design workshops in schools across London.

As you read this, all four members of our team are out on Young City Makers trips across London, supporting 8-10 year olds to see their city through the eyes of built environment professionals. We are also warming up for our upcoming special educational needs programme It's My City Too! which seeks to address the inaccessibility inherent in traditional approaches to built environment education.

If you are interested in supporting any of the programmes along our much-needed educational pathway, please contact Sarah. Meanwhile you can flex some tree appreciation with these swish London Plane tote bags or explore the city in style with our new sustainable socks, paying homage to London's municipal design heritage.

Take it easy,
Siân
