Educator Zafir Ameen joins Open City

Open City is delighted to welcome Zafir Ameen to its education team.

Zafir is an experienced architectural designer and campaigner, with experience across architecture, education and grassroots activism. He recently completed his Masters at the LSA, whilst working in practice. Zafir also serves on the RIBA Council as a student representative, helping to amplify the voice of the next generation. Zafir joins Open City as an Educator, with the aim of widening accessibility and improving representation in the built environment.

Phineas Harper, Open City chief executive said, “I am thrilled to welcome Zafir to our growing and impactful staff team. Open City’s young people’s programmes are going from strength to strength under the strident leadership of our Head of Education, Sarah Philips. We are now supporting young people in every single London borough and launching new education work in Birmingham too. Zafir has joined us at an exciting moment of adventurous expansion bringing a wealth of experience and creativity. I can’t wait to work with him.”
