At Home with Open House, BedZED

BedZED for Open City EXT.jpg

As part of our new live-streamed series of tours of remarkable interiors across the capital, we will be touring an apartment in the BedZED complex in Sutton. The UK’s first large-scale, mixed use eco-village and sustainable community.

BedZED was initiated by Bioregional and developed by Peabody Trust in partnership with Bioregional and ZEDfactory architects. Completed in 2002, the UK’s first large-scale, mixed-use sustainable community comprises 100 homes, office space, a college and community facilities.

At Home With Open House

At Home with Open House is a new series created to satiate the need to see beyond what the square of your laptop will allow. Join us over the coming months for lunchtime tours in which invited Londoners will give live-streamed video tours of the homes they have been locked down in from architect-designed contemporary apartments to historic houses and boats on the Thames.

See more upcoming events in the series at Open City’s events page.

Series curator: Sian Milliner
Assistant Curator: Hafsa Adan
