Tom Wilkinson

Tom is a writer and historian specialising in modern and contemporary architecture and the visual culture of modern Germany. He’s Lecturer in History of Architecture at Birkbeck, and is History editor at the Architectural Review. Tom also writes for the Guardian, Domus, Tribune, Apollo, and is the author of ‘Bricks and Mortals: Ten Great Buildings and the People They Made’

Siraaj Mitha

Siraaj spent three years working predominantly on affordable housing for London architecture practices Allies and Morrison, where he qualified as an architect. He then spent six months living, working and educating in Nairobi, Kenya for an architectural NGO after which he returned to the UK and has spent the last three years working for Stanton Williams as part of the team designing the new Museum of London.

Siraaj is passionate about educating and diversifying professions in the built industries. Having mentored for the last two years in the programme, he joined Open City last Summer as the new Head of Accelerate and also teaches Undergraduate Architecture at the Bartlett

Laura Evans

Laura is an architect, researcher and Senior Lecturer at Kingston School of Art in London where she teaches architecture at undergraduate and masters level. She is an editor of REGISTER, a research group that connects the school with architectural practice in London, Europe, and further afield through public lectures, podcasts and publications.

In 2016, she was awarded the RIBA Boyd Auger Scholarship for an ongoing research project entitled 'Portico and Patio: Response to Climate and Tradition in Cuban Modernist Architecture', and since 2017, she has been a director of London-based practice Howland Evans Architects
