Explore how places make us feel and how they move us

Join Open City for this site-sensing workshop — led by artist Alisa Oleva — where history and urban planning will be discovered through touch, listening and sensations

By using elements of parkour and low impact movements participants of this workshop — which is open to movers and city explorers of all levels — will explore the architecture of social housing in north London including Highgate New Town designed by Hungarian architect Peter Tábori and Lismore Circus in Gospel Oak through deep listening, mapping and playing.

Meet: 2pm am outside The Archway Tavern 1 Navigator Square, London N19 3TD. Near Archway tube station.. Workshop duration 2 hours. Tour ends in Gospel Oak. Cost £14.50 / £9.50 concessions. (students/unemployed/furloughed).

Meet the workshop leader…

Alisa Oleva is an artist working in the spaces of the city, exploring urban choreography and urban archaeology, traces and surfaces, borders and inventories, intervals and silences, passages and cracks. Alisa holds a BA and MA from The Courtauld Institute of Art and an MA in Performance from Goldsmiths. Her projects have manifested as a series of interactive situations, performances, movements scores, personal and intimate encounters and situations, parkour, walkshops, and audio walks. www.olevaalisa.com
