Launching a new series of live-streamed video tours of remarkable interiors across the capital, Philip Christou will show us around his apartment in Hampstead designed in collaboration with the acclaimed architect and teacher, Florian Beigel.

The flat, which was completed in 2004 is striking in numerous ways with its Hanji Paper Floor, a Korean material made with mulberry bush pulp soaked in natural resin, and peripatetic furniture which can be wheeled around the spaces.

Christou will be joined by guest interviewer Ellis Woodman, director of the Architecture Foundation, who has written extensively about the work of Beigel and Christou, and their architecture practice, the Architecture Research Unit.

At Home With Open House

At Home with Open House is a new series created to satiate the need to see beyond what the square of your laptop will allow. Join us over the coming months for lunchtime tours in which invited Londoners will give live-streamed video tours of the homes they have been locked down in from architect-designed contemporary apartments to historic houses and boats on the Thames.

See more upcoming events in the series at Open City’s events page.
